The Importance of Sleep for Us All
The stresses and strains of modern life do seem to have a habit of getting in the way don’t they? We can lie awake at night worrying about this and that… and I just remembered that joke – Worrying does work because most of the things I worry about never happen! Whilst most of us worry about the “I can’t get to sleep”in fact getting too much sleep is also an indicator of something that could be amiss.
So, what is the correct amount of sleep?
There is no right amount of sleep. No one size fits all, however it is generally agreed that somewhere between 7 and 9 hours of proper sleep each night is about right for “most” people.

From time to time we will all go through short periods where sleep can be illusive and maybe it’s our fear of sleep deprivation that ends up being the very thing that stops us sleeping.
